This is my first attempt at art, inspired by my newfound passion for environmentalism. It represents how my eyes have been open to the way we all need to start living our lives, and that those who don't will bring upon the destruction of our beautiful planet. On the left, I've used two symbols to represent these evils, the bottom one is self explanatory the goddamn Hummer, although I don't know if you can call it a symbol because it is LITERALLY the cause of enviromental problems, and on the top, I have used a popular symbol for the disease of diabetus to illustrate the CANCER UPON OUR SOCIETY. The focal peice is a beautiful creature bound by chains, because the oil companies imprison us. Please note the beautiful creature is not my own work, it was created by the very talented S Cullen, I am just a fan and thought it would make my peice perfect. Finally, there are ice cicles bordering the top because if sheeple do not change their ways as I and other englightened people have done, we will soon find ourselves plauged by radical climate change. I was thinking about incorporating a picture taken inside a tunnel, and then putting a Toyota Prius at the light at the end of the tunnel, but I thought that would make the peice too busy and I wanted to stay with the dark ominous motif the peice has.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More
